One Thing Remains

On the Lord’s Day yesterday, me and my wife Linda, my two princesses Lois and Rachel worshipped God together in the Church we attend regularly. One of the praise songs touched me deep down in my heart especially when I sing the verse, “Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me.

This song reminded me of one of my favorite memory verses in the Bible, which is Romans 8:35;

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

36As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;

we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”l

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,m neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let’s go on and on and on our journey of pilgrimage until we all can see Him face to face and know how much He loved us when we touch the wounds in His side! Amen.

Jesus Culture — One Thing Remains lyrics

Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant through the trial and the change
One thing remains
One thing remains

Your love never fails it never gives up it never runs out on me
[ Lyrics from: ]
On and one and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never ever have to be afraid
One thing remains

In death and in life I'm confident and covered by the power of your great love
My debt is paid there's nothing that can separate my heart from your great love
