Three survivors of the Colorado movie-theater massacre escaped with minor wounds, but were left with broken hearts because their heroic boyfriends died saving them.
In final acts of valor, Jon Blunk, Matt McQuinn and Alex Teves used their bodies to shield their girlfriends as accused madman James Holmes turned the Aurora cineplex into a shooting gallery.
Blunk’s girlfriend, Jansen Young; McQuinn’s girlfriend, Samantha Yowler; and Teves’ gal pal Amanda Lindgren made it out of the bloodbath — but they would have been killed had it not been for the loves of their lives.

“As terrible as this entire ordeal is I must say I'm heartened by the gallantry of these MEN who stepped up and acted as TRUE MEN. One never knows how they'll react in such terrible circumstances but I'd like to believe that I would react as heroically. God bless these heroes and all whose lives have been impacted by this act of evil.”
My heart goes out to the victims and families impacted by this heinous crime.
At the same time, I remembered the Word of the Lord in John 15:13-14;
“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.”
Christ calls us His friends and He laid down His Life for us. Apostle Paul put it in Romans 5:6;
“ When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. ”
Thank You Lord Jesus for calling us friends and dying for us on the Cross. I adore You forever.
