Never Will I Forsake You

A Psalmist said,

Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.”(Psalm 27:10)

If parents forsake children, all of other people can leave us for whatever reasons.  But the most important thing is, “GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE AND FORSAKE YOU.

Hebrews 13:5-6 reads;

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;

               Never will I forsake you.”

(in Greek text, οὐ μή σε ἀνῶ οὐδ' οὐ μή σε ἐγκαταλίπω)

6 So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.

What can man do to me?”

Many, if not most, of us have probably been in physical need at some time. All of us are in spiritual or emotional need, and will remain that way as long as we live in this body of flesh with its lusts, phobias, hatreds, jealousies and myriads of other sinful nature. But God does not abandon us. Never. We can always trust in Him, no matter how hard and how far we fall.

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

(οὐ μή σε ἀνῶ οὐδ' οὐ μή σε ἐγκαταλίπω)

The word "never" in this verse is from " οὐ μή (ou me)” in Greek, what is known as an emphatic negative N-E-V-E-R!

Therefore, don’t be sad that much my friends.

Say in your heart,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

Do you hear what God says to you?

     “Never will I leave you;

           Never will I forsake you.”  Amen and amen.
