Your Resurrection Order

We all have many questions about the resurrection of our body; How and When? The following two passages will answer the questions and further give us a clear understanding of what order it takes when resurrection occurs;

Let’s take a close look at two passages below

1 Corinthians 15:23;

“But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.”

We know what order the resurrection occurs; First, Christ Himself Who rose from the dead as first fruits; Second, all who belong to Christ when He comes back (dead or alive).

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18;

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.”

This passage tells us what is a resurrection order among those who belong to Christ; First, the dead Christians (your parents, siblings and friends who passed away) will rise;

Second, we (you readers and me) who are still alive when Christ comes back will be changed into a glorious body in the twinkling of an eye.

To know this for sure, we read in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52;

“Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”

The Apostle Paul called this truth a ‘Mystery’ which has not been revealed before but now known to us by the Holy Spirit.

Lord Jesus, Come quickly and transform our lowly body into a glorious body just like You are because we believe You are the Resurrection and the Life.

Philippians 3:21;

He (Jesus) will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like His own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.”

Hallelujah, we praise the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit Who gave us an eternal life, a glorious body forever and ever. Amen!
