Hearing God’s Voice

I heard my Christian brothers and sisters saying, “I heard the actual voice of God telling me what I should do or say.”

I do not have any intention to deny that statement because I have not heard anything from God so far.

Some thirty years ago, I cried to God in the night out in the Californian wilderness praying to Him to say something to me but I did not hear His voice at that night.

I found the answer from the Bible why God did not say to me at that night and even now.

We read in, Hebrew 1:1-4;

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, Whom He appointed heir of all things, and through Whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is superior to theirs.”

We also read in, Matthew 17:5;

“While He was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, Whom I love; with Him I am well pleased. Listen to Him!

Problem is that we did not see or hear Jesus. Then how can we hear His voice?
It’s recorded in the Bible. Even Jesus said to Satan in His temptation, “It is written.”

People cannot make an excuse for not believing in Him because they did not hear from God.
We can know this truth from the Parable of the Lord in Luke 16;

He answered, Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment. Abraham replied, They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.” (Verses 27-29)

Dear readers, do you want to hear God’s voice? Then read the Bible, the written Word of God and you will hear the Voice of God telling you that you should believe and love Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
It’s the Voice of God the Holy Spirit:

“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.” (Revelation 22:17)

Amen, Lord Jesus, we will hear Your Voice everyday and do it every minute. Help us!
