Lightweight Answers for Heavyweight Questions-2

Today’s question is: Why did God make the material world?

The simplest answer is;

God wanted to show His Will in the material world as it is in Heaven,  the spiritual world. His Will in the universe is embodied in the Law of Nature, which represents the changeableness and temporality. God is not a formula or principle which bases on the unchangeableness and simple perpetuity. He is a Person Who plans and changes according to His Will and Plan. The purpose of creation is to make this imperfect material world come to a state of perfection and newness.

We read in, Revelation 21:5;

“He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.””

Lord Jesus, thank you for making us a new creation.

Therefore, we boldly proclaim, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
