Lightweight Answers for Heavyweight Questions-14

Today’s short question is: “When Does Jesus stand at the right Hand of God, the Father?”

The simplest answer is: “He stands up from sitting at the right Hand of the Father when He receives the spirit of His servants.”

Acts 7:54-60

The Stoning of Stephen

“When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him.But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.”

This was the exact the same prayer Jesus offered to His Father when He hung on the cross in Luke 23:46;

“Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit”. When he had said this, he breathed his last.”

I believe the Heavenly Father rose from His Throne and received the Spirit of His Beloved Son into His hands.

Now we can know that Glorified Son of God sits when He commands the whole creation as the Commander of the army of Jehovah but He stands up when He receives the spirit of His faithful servants when they are martyred because of the witness of Word of God they have.

That’s what we can know for sure on the topic question above.
