Not for Angels but for Me

Today’s question is: “Why is the salvation not available for fallen angles?”

The simple answer is: “Jesus Christ only came to die for the sinners like you and me.”

I love God’s Word because it has everything that I want to know about.

We read in, Hebrew 2:16-17;

“We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; He came to help the descendants of Abraham. Therefore, it was necessary for Him to be made in every respect like us, His brothers and sisters, so that He could be our Merciful and Faithful High Priest before God. Then He could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.”

We do not know why God predestined us to be His children in Christ Jesus before the foundation of the world and did not provide the way for the fallen angels to be forgiven.

However, what we know from the Word of God is that God bound them in darkness for eternal punishment.

Jude 1:6 says;

“And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home--these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.”

That is the reason why the angels are anxious to know the mystery of the gospel.

1 Peter 1:10-12 says;

“Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.”

O Holy Spirit, we praise You as the Spirit of Christ. You taught us why the sinners like us were chosen to be the children of God in Christ Jesus – it’s not because we deserve but by the Grace of God we were saved. Thank You for leading us to hold onto this amazing truth. Amen.
