JESUS Surrounds HIS Church Both Now And Forevermore

Psalm 125

A song of ascents.

1Those who trust In The LORD are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.

2As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So The LORD Surrounds HIS people
both now and forevermore.

3The scepter of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.

4LORD, Do Good to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
5But those who turn to crooked ways
The LORD Will Banish with the evildoers.
Peace Be On Israel.

PSALM 125

GOD Honors the confidence of HIS people, by protection and deliverance, and leaves hypocrites to the doom of the wicked.

Mount Zion, as an emblem of permanence, and locality of Jerusalem as one of security, represent the firm and protected condition of GOD'S people (Psalm 46:5), supported not only by Providence, but by Covenant Promise. Even the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed, but GOD'S Kindness Shall Not Depart, nor HIS Covenant of peace be removed (Isaiah 54:10);

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet MY Unfailing Love for you Will Not Be Shaken nor MY Covenant of Peace Be Removed,"

Says The LORD, WHO Has Compassion On you.”

Amen.
